Ernest Fenwick MacIntosh was found guilty in 2010 of 17 counts of gross indecency and indecent assault against young boys in the '70s -- 15 years after the first victims went to the police.
The Supreme Court said in April the lengthy process violated MacInosh's rights to be tried within a reasonable time.
A Public Prosecution Serves review released Wednesday said an overworked Crown attorney failed to keep pace with the advancing file of MacIntosh, who refused to come home from India to face trial. (more...)
