Ontario man facing dozens of charges in international luring case

BRADFORD, Ont. -- Police laid 58 charges, involving 16 victims from various countries, in an Internet luring case against a Bradford, Ont. man on Thursday.

The charges include internet luring, possession of child pornography and extortion, said South Simcoe police.

The man was already facing three similar charges, plus marijuana possession, after police raided his home last October.

"It's certainly the largest (Internet luring case) because it's worldwide. We've never had one quite like this before," said Const. Richard Williamson.

Local police detectives worked with police agencies from several different countries to gather evidence and identify multiple victims under the age of 18 from across North America and overseas, including the U.K.  (more...)
