LONDON, Ont. — Police have laid 17 more counts of voyeurism and two child porn charges against a teacher accused of hiding a video camera in a backpack in a makeshift change room at Ashley Oaks Public School.
When police announced the original two voyeurism charges against Jamie Gardiner on March 12, they said they searched the camera and computers and found video footage of two adults changing in the room.
But the investigation continued and police say investigators found the additional footage in devices they took from Gardiner’s home. The footage allegedly dates back as far as January 2011.
The child pornography charges involve a teenager who was a student at another school, police said.
“When voyeurism occurs and you capture someone under the age of 18, it automatically becomes child pornography,” Det.-Insp. Kevin Heslop said.
Police said the 20 victims include eight school board staffers, seven co-op students, one student under 18, and four unidentified people. (more...)
