Sex Ed implicated in boy’s sexual assaults on his younger sisters


A 12-year-old Lethbridge boy had sex with his younger sisters after taking sex education in school.

The boy, who pleaded guilty Wednesday in Lethbridge youth court to two counts of sexual assault, made up a game called “sex club,” after he and a friend had taken sex education, said Crown prosecutor Lisa Weich.

The game was simply a twist on truth or dare, where, in the summer of 2013, the boy, who was 11 at the time and can’t be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, dared his then nine-year-old and seven-year-old sisters on multiple occasions to touch each other sexually and have sex with him. He would offer them prizes for playing the game, which, for one sister, was lime-flavoured pop, Weich said.  (more...)
