Mystified

I was a bit mystified last month when I read Premier Kathleen Wynne being quoted that full-day kindergarten is saving parents $6,500 per year in daycare costs. Given that the biggest opponents of the program accuse the government of providing nothing but “free” daycare to buy votes, I wondered why she would be reinforcing this belief by making such a statement.

Unfortunately for anyone looking for her statement in writing, those remarks - evidence of the program’s true objective - have been removed from the Ministry of Education’s website  (more...)
