Maple Leaf Gardens perv Gordon Stuckless eyeing indefinite sentence, lawyer says

TORONTO - Convicted Maple Leaf Gardens perv Gordon Stuckless was slapped with 26 additional charges and is now eyeing the prospect of an indefinite prison sentence, his lawyer told reporters Thursday.

Stuckless, 64, is now facing 98 sex-related charges — up from 72 at his last court appearance — involving seven complainants from York Region and 10 from Toronto in allegations spanning from 1965 through 1985.

“The Crown has nobly advised it will be seeking a dangerous offender application if he is convicted,” Stuckless’ lawyer, Ari Goldkind, told media on the steps of Old City Hall court.

“Dangerous offenders almost always spend the rest of their lives in prison. But it is a sanction reserved for criminals who pose a menace to society today,” Goldkind said.  (more...)
