NB councillor's crimes would net 75 years in prison if sentenced separately, court reportedly hears


Saint John, N.B., councillor and youth worker Donnie Snook would be behind bars for 75 years if he was sentenced for each of his child sex abuse crimes separately, court reportedly heard Friday.

Snook, who pleaded guilty in May to 46 child exploitation charges, faced the second day of a sentencing hearing.

The offences -- which include making and distributing child pornography, sexual assault and touching a child for a sexual purpose -- took place between 2001 and 2013 and involve 17 boys.
