The Canada Files spoke to Dimitri Lascaris, a Canadian eco-socialist journalist and lawyer, who recently travelled to Lebanon for the fourth time since October 2023. Lascaris detailed the lessons he's learned about Lebanon and the broader Axis of Resistance's resistance to Israel's colonial ambitions and those he's gained from the fierce pro-resistance journalists he's met in Lebanon. Lascaris also talks about how the West's promised 'free speech' is under all-out-attack as anti-imperialist journalists in the West face state repression which could come home to Canada, and the need to oppose this threat.
