This Hollywood production of Gary Webb's tragic story does a fair job with portraying Gary’s rise to fame as an investigative journalist, & ultimately his destruction due to his search for the truth. A truly heart breaking tale that should be a mandatory history lesson for Americans that may still believe that government has their best interests at heart.
Gary Webb came to the undeniable conclusion, that U.S. intelligence & law enforcement agencies facilitated drug trafficking throughout the U.S. in order to fund a revolution in Nicaragua, so as to overthrow their government. This ultimately resulted in the death of 50,000+ Nicaraguans, millions of Americans succumbing to drug addiction, & Webb's untimely death.
