Unifor, Canada's largest private union, representing more than 300,000 members (also my union), gave its highest honour this year to the Palestine Journalists Syndicate. The president of the syndicate, Nasser Abu Bakr, came all the way from Ramallah to accept the Nelson Mandela Award. I made sure to grab an interview with him while he was here. For some reason, no one else did.
