Solidarity with the Peace 11: Why the HESEG Foundation should have its charitable status revoked

Join us for a webinar in support of Palestine solidarity peace activists being criminalized in Toronto for allegedly putting up posters on Indigo property.

Established by Indigo CEO Heather Reisman and Gerald Schwartz, the HESEG Foundation provides scholarships and other support to non-Israelis (Lone Soldiers) who join the Israeli military.  Learn about the campaign calling on the CRA to investigate HESEG and revoke their charitable status if found to be operating in contravention of CRA rules.

BACKGROUND

The webinar will explore what may be Canada’s most important contribution to Palestinian dispossession. Under the cover of charity, organizations are bilking Canadian taxpayers to fund the Israeli colonial project. Charities in Canada send a quarter billion dollars a year to projects in Israel many of which support the Israeli military, racist organizations and West Bank settlements in contravention of CRA regulations.

This webinar will look at efforts to disrupt charities supporting Palestinian dispossession and war crimes.
