A 40-year-old former school teacher told a provincial court judge she regrets her “horrible decisions” that affected the lives of two teenage boys, their families and her own.
Carolyn Amy Hood said during her sentencing hearing on sex charges Thursday in Pictou provincial court that she knows she broke the law and betrayed the trust of the school board, her co-workers, students and the school community.
“That trust can never be regained,” she said.
Hood had admitted to four of the six charges that include two counts of luring, sexual interference and sexual exploitation. The charges were laid in relation to offences involving minors from Feb.1 to Sept. 30, 2013. (more...)
