Edmonton teacher charged over alleged sex assault on teen student

An Edmonton teacher is facing sex assault charges in relation to a former, teenaged student.

The teacher, now 50, allegedly had a sexual relationship with the girl between 2012 and 2014, beginning when she was 13.

Police say they aren't naming the teacher to protect the girl's identity. He's facing charges of sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and luring.  (more...)
