Equity and diversity are silencing us all

Have you noticed how the voices of dissent in the public square are continually shrinking? Fewer Canadians believe and are willing to battle for free speech, parental rights and freedom of religion. We are told that there's no need to protect these rights in this new "inclusive" and "tolerant" society. Honest and open discussions and differences of opinion that can help us make better societal choices is discouraged. After all, we don't need arguments anymore in the public square. Don't we all agree that we must bring an end to bullying and all forms of discrimination to create "loving" spaces for everyone? And don't bother suggesting the idea of  searching for the truth on university campuses now that we all know each of has has the truth of the will.

Have you also noticed how diversity education and equity policies are forcing everyone to forfeit "free speech" for the sake of not hurting someome's feelings?  (more...)
