John and Charles look back on one of the strangest things they believed in William Branham’s cult: that Jesus had already “come and gone” and that Branham himself could literally speak squirrels into existence. John shares a surreal encounter at the post office with a man who joyfully thanks “Brother Branham” for the beautiful day, and Charles explains how deeply the idea of a manifested god-man is baked into “the message,” right down to people praying and baptizing in Branham’s name.
From there, they unpack how manifested sons of God, positive confession, and word of faith teaching fused into a roadmap for becoming “like Jesus” in power, not in love. They connect Branham’s post–World War II healing revivals, Latter Rain theology, and the New Apostolic Reformation, showing how an obsession with power, sorcery-like “speaking things into existence,” and harsh judgment of outsiders led many groups far away from historic Christianity and straight into abuse.
