'Ceasefire isn’t enough’: Netizens demand Israel be held accountable for genocide

Social media users have reacted with mixed feelings of relief and respite to news of a recently agreed ceasefire deal between Israel and the Hamas resistance movement, calling on the world organizations and international community to take effective action against Israeli crimes in the besieged Palestinian territory. 

Social media users from across the globe have shared their thoughts and feelings about the Gaza ceasefire agreement. While many are relieved that the Israeli aggression may finally come to an end, concerns remain about whether the regime will honor the deal in the long run. 

Most of them have also urged legal action against Israelis who ordered and perpetrated war crimes. They say that the Israeli entity should be held "accountable for decades of occupation, apartheid and war crimes."

Assal Rad, an academic who holds a PhD in Middle East history, said that the ceasefire shouldn't hinder the perpetrators of the Gaza genocide from facing justice and accountability.  (more...)
