On October 9, 2024 the New York Times published an interactive article in their Opinions section that detailed the experiences of 65 American doctors who had worked in Gaza over the past year. What emerged was a pattern of children shot in the head and neck and chest. Not once or twice but dozens of children. Dr. Feroze Sidhwa penned what can be defined as a turning point in how the media has covered the egregious atrocities Israel has been exacting upon Palestinians in Gaza. It was all there in black and white, complete with CT scans of the children. And yet, Israel quickly and desperately tried to disparage and cast doubt on the findings and testimonials of the doctors; going so far as to say the images were doctored and fabricated. My conversation with Dr. Sidhwa lays bare his experience with the New York Times and the abhorrent atrocities he witnessed during his time in Gaza.
