As many Americans lament the "War on Christmas" in the increasingly secularized and commodified US society and ask where is the Christ in Christmas in the modern day, there is another war on Christmas going on, a war to Westernize the Orthodox traditions of Christmas as part of geopolitical project to solidify hegemony over Eastern Europe; not just in political, economic and military terms, but in cultural and religious terms as well. Ukraine's centuries-old Orthodox Christmas traditions are now under assault.
