Robert St. Louis pleaded not guilty in the Superior Court of Justice in St. Catharines in September 2015 to sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
He is accused of sexual offences between 2008 and 2010 involving the former female student, beginning when she was 14 and he was 46.
Testimony in the trial ended earlier this week.
In court Thursday, Judge Richard Lococo told the Crown and defence to provide written submissions to him by April 4.
Lococco said he'll deliver his judgment April 27.
St. Louis was not in court on Thursday.
Court heard earlier the student initially told police she had sex with St. Louis over 100 times in the school and elsewhere.
She testified St. Louis bought her sex toys and supplied her with alcohol. He also provided condoms, but at some point suggested she get birth control, which she obtained from the school nurse. (more...)
