Boards across the province are starting to warn parents that fall progress reports for elementary students will be delayed — or possibly cancelled — because of ongoing job action in schools.
Should the report be nixed, students will have gone an entire year without receiving a proper report card — given the next one isn't due until February and the June reports were incomplete.
“We will continue to monitor the labour situation and will provide the progress reports if time allows,” said David Tamblyn, director of education of the Superior-Greenstone District School Board in northern Ontario, in a letter to parents Thursday. (more...)
