A “ghost town.”
This is what one Thorncliffe Park parent protesting the provincial government’s new sex-ed curriculum in East York Monday night said a local elementary school will resemble come Tuesday morning should the Ontario government go ahead with its plans to implement revamped instruction about human sexuality.
Those who spoke to the Toronto Sun vowed to keep their kids out of the classroom so long as the new curriculum is in place.
“We are not going to send our kids to the public school,” said Rizwan Issani, a father of five who attend Thorncliffe Park P.S., an elementary school with a large Muslim population reflective of the area’s ethnic diversity. (more...)
