McNaughton not bowing to intimidation

The lights in the hallways outside Monte McNaughton’s office aren’t even on, that’s how quiet Queen’s Park is in the middle of August.

But the PC MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex certainly hasn’t had a slow summer. His schedule’s been jam-packed attending events organized by parents around Ontario concerned about the province’s new sex-ed curriculum.

It’s the issue Premier Kathleen Wynne hoped would go away. But it hasn’t. That’s because this isn’t a campaign contrived by a political party or lobby groups. It’s authentic, led by parents who — rightly or wrongly — are genuinely concerned about language in the new curriculum.  (more...)
