TCDSB trustees vote to cut nearly two dozen principal, vice principal positions

Toronto Catholic District School Board trustees have voted to cut nearly two dozen principal and vice principal positions to try and address the board’s multi-million dollar budget deficit.

As of 11:30 p.m., 14 principal, four secondary vice principal and four elementary vice principal positions had been slashed for a total savings of roughly $3.6 million.

Thirty educational assistant positions, along with four elementary guidance teacher positions have also been eliminated, saving $1.9 million.  (more...)
