The provincial government is launching public consultations to improve governance at the embattled Toronto District School Board, which has faced stinging criticism in recent months over lavish trustee perks and a “culture of fear” among principals.
The Ministry of Education announced Wednesday that the first of the promised consultations will take place April 13 at the North Toronto Community Centre. Members of the public can register to attend sessions or share their comments online at a website set up for the forums.
A seven-member advisory panel chaired by former Toronto mayor Barbara Hall will lead discussions. (more...)
