A King Township resident is hoping to go straight from the classroom to Parliament Hill this October when the federal election is called.

Natalie Rizzo, 22, will be the NDP candidate for the new riding of King-Vaughan when the writ drops for the fall election.

She’s the only nominee in an uncontested nomination meeting taking place this Sunday at King City Library.

Rizzo, finishing up her fourth year in political science studies at the University of Toronto, says she is passionate about social justice.  (more...)
