This was the loud and clear message to Premier Kathleen Wynne on her government’s proposed sex education curriculum by community members at a town hall meeting in Mississauga last night.
The event was organized by members of the community in the wake of growing public anger in reaction to the proposed curriculum, which will be implemented in September for the beginning of the new school year. ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) Canada facilitated the effort by providing space for the meeting.
Mississauga South MPP and Ontario Minister of Finance Charles Sousa, who was invited to the town hall, took the heat in front of about 1,000 people of all ages. (more...)
