Canadian complainants worried Fen MacIntosh will fall through cracks again

SYDNEY — The Canadian complainants in the Ernest Fenwick MacIntosh case are attempting to remain up-to-date on current court proceedings in Nepal involving the former Strait area businessman, despite the barriers of distance and language.

MacIntosh, 71, was arrested last month on allegations that he had sexually assaulted a nine-year-old boy in Kathmandu. His convictions on 17 counts of indecent assault and gross indecency against young males in the Strait area in the 1970s were overturned when an appeals court ruled it took too long to take him to trial.

MacIntosh made his most recent appearance in a Nepalese courtroom last week and he is expected to appear again Thursday.  (more...)
