That's why Pieta house is launching its mind our men movement.
They are calling on the women and men of Ireland to look out for the men in their lives so that together we can help to reduce the rate of male suicide.
RTÉ's Morning Edition spoke to Joan Freeman CEO of Pieta House while reporter Aisling Riordan went out to Tallaght to visit one of the many men's sheds that are popping up throughout the country to help men's support each other.
