Witnesses Describe Horror Scene After “Double-Tap” Bombing Kills Over 20 at Popular Tehran Square

war crimes US Israel Iran Tehran Cafe massacre double tap terrorism atrocities barbarity aggression

In Iran, the U.S. and Israel are employing tactics used in Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the “War on Terror” and Trump’s recent attacks on alleged drug boats in the Carribean.

As groups of families and others gathered Sunday evening at cafes around Niloofar Square—a middle-class area in eastern Tehran—after breaking their fast for Ramadan, a series of explosions struck the area, leveling several buildings and killing over 20 people, according to witnesses at the scene and later reports from local news sources.

Witnesses who spoke to Drop Site said two explosions hit the area—a smaller strike in the vicinity, followed by a larger one that devastated much of the neighborhood, a tactic known as a “double tap” strike that is used to inflict maximum casualties.

Videos of the immediate aftermath of the attack showed several individuals dead and wounded as well as massive destruction on the street outside. In Cafe Ahla, next to the square, blood and debris soaked the floors. Several patrons who had been sitting there when the attack struck could be seen dead on the floor or with their mutilated bodies still sprawled across their seats.

“We were sitting here around 8:00-8:30 p.m. and suddenly there was the noise and explosion. We got up and a few people ran away. We turned around to get our belongings and we saw that blood was spraying everywhere. Someone’s hand had fallen on the floor, a head had fallen on the floor,” said Shahin, a witness who had been at the cafe and asked to be identified by first name only. “There were scalps torn off, hands severed, a few people were laying here all cut up and two people were martyred.”

As has been the case with nearly all of the bombings in Iran, it remains unclear whether this attack was carried out by the U.S. or Israel. Israel has used “double tap” strikes in Gaza, Lebanon, and elsewhere. In one prominent incident, the Israeli military killed 22 Palestinians, including five journalists, in a double tap strike on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in August. The U.S. repeatedly engaged in double tap strikes during the so-called “War on Terror” in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Yemen and, most recently, in a September 2025 attack on an alleged Venezuelan drug smuggling boat in the Caribbean.  (more...)

Canada has defended every country harmed by the conflict except the victim of aggression. It’s part of Ottawa’s longstanding support for war on Iran.

After the prime minister released a written statement and made a public declaration expressing “support” for US/Israeli aggression, foreign affairs minister Anita Anand released two more statements criticizing Iran on Saturday. Late in the evening she posted, “Canada stands with the United Arab Emirates as it defends itself against Iran’s attempts to escalate the conflict.” After it was confirmed Iran’s leader and multiple family members were killed, as well as a 165 at a girls’ school, Anand posted “Canada strongly condemns the targeting of the State of Qatar by Iran. Canada stands with Qatar and all partners in the region in efforts to safeguard security and prevent further escalation.”

On Sunday Anand followed those statements up with a broader condemnation of Iran’s strategy of targeting countries housing US bases used to launch the aggression. She stated, “We condemn the Iranian Regime’s indiscriminate attacks against civilian infrastructure across the region, including in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan. These attacks are a dangerous threat to regional stability and civilian safety.”

According to Anand, Iran is responsible for the US/Israeli aggression that has already hit more than 1,000 targets in the country. Ottawa’s support for the war is stronger than many other members of the US-led NATO alliance. Spain and Norway criticized the US/Israeli aggression while UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for an “immediate cessation of hostilities and de-escalation.”  (more...)

An enormous crime against Iran

Iran assassination aggression atrocity war crimes Israel terrorism impunity indifference complicity

Hours before Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s death was confirmed, I told the Drop Site News livestream that the assassination of Iran’s leader would be an enormous crime.

By early Sunday, Iran announced that the United States and Israel had killed Khamenei as well as several members of his family.

They join hundreds of Iranians already slain in the American-Israeli war, including scores of schoolgirls massacred in an unspeakable atrocity at an elementary school in Minab, southern Iran.

Killing Khamenei, the leader of a sovereign state, in an unprovoked war of aggression is a flagrant act of international terrorism.

Right away, President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the perpetrators of this crime, got what they asked for: Iranians poured into the streets.

They were not there to protest their government and overthrow it – as the warmongers had demanded – but to mourn their martyred leader and demand revenge.  (more...)

Several hours after a bomb struck a girls’ elementary school and killed 165, a strike on the town of Lamerd killed teenagers in a gymnasium.

Dozens of teenage girls were attending their regular training sessions of volleyball, basketball, and gymnastics in the main sports hall in Lamerd, a city near the Persian coast, when a missile slammed into the building at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Additional strikes hit two nearby residential areas and a hall adjacent to a school, as the U.S. and Israel pounded targets across Iran on the first day of what President Donald Trump declared as a regime change war. According to local officials cited in Iranian state media, the strikes on Lamerd killed at least 18 civilians and wounded scores more.

“Within seconds of the missile strike, the windows shattered into thousands of fragments. Sports equipment, balls, tables, barriers flew through the air. Black smoke filled the space. The smell of gunpowder made breathing almost impossible. The screaming began immediately, layered with the sound of debris collapsing and concrete falling from the ceiling,” Mohammed Saed Khorshedy, a 29-year-old worker at the gym who witnessed the attack, told Drop Site News.

The facility sits on the outskirts of Lamerd, a quiet city in Fars province, near the surrounding Zagros mountain range, giving the natural landscape an uneven, rugged character. The rectangular building is at a crossroads connecting the city center to Bandar Assaluyeh, an industrial port and energy hub on the Persian Gulf.

The sports hall was poorly maintained, with deteriorating walls surrounded by a low perimeter fence. A high arched metal roof sat atop a reinforced concrete frame and a rubber floor for volleyball and other sports. The missile struck the middle of the roof, destroying a large part of the building. The main court, small spectator stands, changing rooms, and coach’s office were all reduced to rubble.

Hossein Gholami, a 50-year-old elementary school teacher, was returning from work when he heard the blast. His 16-year-old daughter, Zahra, was training in the hall.

“I noticed a strange gathering of people at the corner of the street leading to the sports hall,” Gholami told Drop Site. “The screaming was rising from a distance. A colleague ran toward me, waving his arm, and said in a shaken voice: ‘Zahra, the hall, there has been an explosion.’ I felt as though the ground had split beneath my feet. Everything around me became hazy,” he said. “I ran immediately, and with every step the columns of black smoke rose higher, while the smell of fire and flames entered my nose with force.”  (more...)

John and Charles examine a disturbing pattern in William Branham’s preaching, including a repeated analogy that frames “letting in Hitler” alongside “letting in Jesus,” and why that comparison lands as morally shocking. They connect that theme to how “Behold, I stand at the door and knock” was commonly taught, often filtered through Branham quotations rather than a plain reading of Scripture.

John and Charles then walk through “servant theology” and a stratified, pyramid-like afterlife hierarchy described in Message circles, including claims about Jews, non-white people, and “heathens” as a coded category. They also discuss how these ideas were expanded within inner-circle teaching, how they affected families, and why many people inside the movement were never told the full implications.

Many self-described “Jewish” institutions should be considered crime scenes. They are gathering places for those who ought to be prosecuted under the War Crimes Act and are often places where young Canadians are illegally “induced” into joining a foreign military while flouting genocide statutes and charity law.

A La Presse investigation published Thursday into two private Montreal Jewish schools supporting the Israeli military has sparked an important political and media storm in Quebec. Since October 2023 heavily subsidized private schools Herzliah and Bialik have had at least 14 different visits from active or former Israeli soldiers.

But these schools are but two of a hundred or so self-described Jewish institutions promoting the politics of Zionism that have platformed individuals who should be investigated under Canada’s War Crimes Act and Crimes Against Humanity. That statute begins, “Every person who, either before or after the coming into force of this section, commits outside Canada (a) genocide, (b) a crime against humanity, or (c) a war crime, is guilty of an indictable offence and may be prosecuted for that offence in accordance with section 8.”

Alongside self-described Jewish schools, synagogues, camps and community centres regularly host Israeli soldiers who’ve participated in the holocaust in Gaza. Last month former IOF combat soldier Guy Hochman, a comedian who jokes about committing war crimes in Gaza, performed at the Prosserman Jewish Community Centre in Toronto.  (more...)

Canada Iran war crimes Israel complicity imperialism aggression lawlessness impunity

Mark Carney has fully endorsed Donald Trump’s bid to balkanize Iran on behalf of the genocidal Jewish supremacist state and a US empire that insists on ruling the world. Tens of thousands will likely be killed unless Iran can deliver a decisive blow to US and Israeli interests in the region.

In a statement posted to X Saturday morning, Carney and foreign minister Anita Anand said “Canada supports” the US/Israeli violation of the UN Charter. The statement endorsing the unprovoked attack was just the latest example of the Carney government’s subservience to the US empire’s ‘might makes right’ policy around the world.

The written statement was odious but the prime minister’s declaration at an event in India was even worse. Carney declared, “Canada reaffirms Israel’s right to defend itself and to ensure the security of its people.” In an initial Israeli attack upwards of 100 were killed in a strike on an elementary school in Minab, southern Iran. Information on the horrific crime was already circulating widely when Carney made his declaration.  (more...)

Minab Iran girl's school bombing war crime atrocity depravity impunity Israel

A scene of devastation in Minab, Iran, as parents waited to know the fate of their young daughters after the bombing of a girls' elementary school killed over 100.

Mohammed Shariatmadar stood outside the wreckage of the Shajareh Tayyiba girls’ elementary school in Minab, in southern Iran on Saturday morning, unable to process what he was seeing. His six year-old daughter, Sara, a second grade student, was among dozens of girls killed when the school was bombed in the first few hours of the war launched by the U.S. and Israel on Iran.

In the immediate aftermath of the strike he remained standing in the shade of a cracked wall, staring at the ground and ignoring the commotion around him. He didn’t approach the building, which had been sealed off, but he didn’t move away either. His hands knotted together, then separated, then knotted again, in a repeated motion. Every time a paramedic emerged or an ambulance moved, he quickly raised his head, then returned to staring at the ground. He asked no one a direct question. He was only waiting for his daughter’s name to be called.

When families were finally directed to a gathering point to receive the bodies of their children, he slowly moved forward. When asked if he needed help, he shook his head silently and waited for his daughter’s body to be brought out.

“I cannot understand how a place where innocent children learn can be bombed like this,” Shariatmadar told Drop Site. “We are talking about small children who knew nothing of politics or wars. And yet they are the ones paying the highest price.”

Some 170 students were inside the building attending morning classes when the missile struck. At least 108 people were killed, according to the public prosecutor’s office in Minab, many of them schoolgirls between seven and 12 years old.  (more...)

Going to War, Again, for Israel

America Israel Trump Netanyahu war Iran aggression imperialism war crimes AIPAC Zionism cults

Once again, America is going to war for Israel. Once again, many will die for the Zionist state, including American service members. Once again, we will stumble blindly into a military fiasco. Once again, we will do the bidding of a foreign power whose interests are not our interests, but whose lobbyists have bought up our political class, including Donald Trump. Once again, we will violate the U.N. charter by attacking a country that does not pose an imminent threat.

This is not our war. This is part of Israel’s demented vision of Greater Israel, of dominating the Middle East. But Israel needs our military, our taxpayer dollars, our weapons to do it. And we have handed them the keys to our formidable arsenal.

The architects of the war with Iran, which the administration feels no need to justify to the American public or the international community, admit it will not be quick.

Sen. Tom Cotton, the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told CBS News on Saturday that the goal is not only to curb Iran’s nuclear program, but “dismantle their terror support network.”

“To do all that is going to take longer than the strikes on their nuclear program last summer,” Cotton said. “We’re probably looking at weeks, not days, of joint efforts by the United States, Israel and our Arab partners, who have also been attacked this morning.”

Israel’s lackeys in the political class, along with their courtiers in the media, including former American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) employee Wolf Blitzer, as well as academia, are shining examples of Israel’s transparent and often illegal meddling in the American political system. Forget Russia. Forget China. No foreign government comes close to exerting Israel’s influence.  (more...)

Will War With Iran Bring On the Fall of the House of Epstein?

Epstein depravity war Iran degeneracy decline empire Cicero history philosophy Renaissance Machiavelli Republic

Have the witches and warlocks of British Intelligence, and their accomplices in the “Canaanite reconstructionist” cult of Christian Zionism, convinced President Donald Trump that he was “saved” from assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania in order to later launch Armageddon in “the Mideast?“ The unhinged assertion by American ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, who stated to journalist Tucker Carlson, that Israel has a Biblically authorized right to invade and subjugate the several nations of the region to establish “Greater Israel,” indicates that, under the cloak of war with Iran, there is something Satanic afoot.

The so-called “negotiations” of the Trump Administration with Iran, were Satanic in the literal sense. Everything that was said to be their intent, was in fact opposite. War was always going to be the outcome. Anything that Iran agreed to, with the exception of complete submission, was said to be “a violation.” Yet, to now refer to the Trump Administration, which not only violated the United States Constitution by launching war without the advice and consent of the Congress, but also rejected the deepest anti-imperial war wishes of his electoral base, as “the Epstein Adminstration,” would completely misidentify what is actually happening. The Democratic Party, fully supportive of Benjamin Netanyahu’s mass murder in Gaza, also supports the war with Iran, but hopes to gain political leverage leading to their taking over the Congress in November, by sacrificing American and Iranian lives to do it. They are also Satanic.

Both the Republican and Democratic Parties are part snd parcel of the “Epstein Class.” The people of the United States have now been shown enough through the Epstein-Maxwell files to know the depraved nature of the War Party. Are we no better than the subjects of imperial Rome who, corrupted by the decadence of their contemporary “Epstein elite,” not only tolerated, but celebrated Rome’s end-of-civilization antics? As the majority of the world know, the 500 years of colonial rule are over. These wars are the hysterical reactions of a dying Anglo-American imperial system to that fact. On Monday, Executive Intelligence Review will host and Emergency forum, “Epstein and the Bottomless Depravity of the “Elites” —Urgent Need for a Cultural Renaissance!” In this 250th year of the birth of America, the higher culture that the American Revolution was a product of, must become the basis for an instantaneous reversal of our slide into thermonuclear war, and for the fall of the Epstein Class.

The Crown Corporation Quietly Promoting Military Exports To The U.S.

Canadian Commercial Corporation complicity war crimes military U.S. Trump exports

“This is just business as usual, despite the international geopolitical arrangement seemingly dismantling in front of us.”

Nestled among glassy towers in the heart of downtown Ottawa, the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) isn’t an institution that typically attracts much public attention.

But since its foundation in 1946, the Crown corporation has played a central role in helping Canadian defence companies secure billions of dollars worth of contracts with foreign governments.

One of its top clients is the United States Department of Defense (DoD), and this flow of military trade has continued apace despite Canada’s relations with an increasingly belligerent U.S. coming under strain over the past year.

In a webinar broadcast via YouTube last October, CCC staff said “Canada remains firmly committed to its defence and trade partnership with the United States” and applauded how “Canadian innovation strengthens U.S. defence readiness.”

As an example, the staff highlighted a contract the CCC secured between the U.S. Navy and Alberta-based company QinetiQ Target Systems for “uncrewed targets” that simulate missile and aircraft threats for air defence systems.

Rewind a few months, and the rhetoric from Prime Minister Mark Carney painted a rather different picture of the state of Canada-U.S. defence relations.

During the 2025 federal election campaign, Carney said the era of Canada deepening its trade and defence ties with the U.S. was “over,” following U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated threats against Canada’s sovereignty.

That sentiment persists among the Canadian public. In a January Ipsos poll, 56 per cent said they are fearful that Trump might try to use military force against Canada (although an equal number said they are confident the U.S. would never invade).

In a more recent Nanos poll, 55 per cent of Canadians said they consider the U.S. to be the biggest threat to the security of Canada right now, far ahead of China (15 per cent) and Russia (14 per cent).

This year, the U.S. has carried out acts of military aggression against Venezuela, threatened to invade Greenland and is now poised to strike Iran. It has also assumed an increasingly aggressive stance towards Cuba.

Concerns have been raised about the U.S. military using Canadian technology to carry out illegal actions.  (more...)

How data on the crackdown on Gaza protests reflects the increasing repression of activist movements in the U.S.

Palestine solidarity Gaza protests repression police extremism crackdowns escalation Israel bias

Data shows Gaza protesters faced harsher punishments than Black Lives Matter protesters did just a few years ago. Experts tell Mondoweiss this is the result of pro-Israel bias and a backlash against protest movements that has been building for years.

Protests over the unfolding genocide in Gaza erupted across the U.S. in 2023, quickly becoming the largest mass demonstration since Black Lives Matter a few years earlier. In both cases, the protest movements took aim at state violence and oppression against marginalized groups.

Deeper scrutiny of the protests and law enforcement response reveals how the U.S. government at all levels has escalated its repressive tactics during the last five years. One telling statistic shows how a strong majority of cases filed against Black Lives Matter protesters in 2020 were dropped or dismissed, but the crackdown on Gaza demonstrators has grown even more draconian and resulted in harsher punishments.

Why is this?

While the protest movements’ contexts preclude a direct apples-to-apples comparison, around 100 legal observers and attorneys who discussed the issue with Mondoweiss say the escalation reflects pro-Israel bias in the political system, a strengthening of anti-protest tactics, and a conservative shift in the nation’s attitude about law enforcement.

The shift is part of a broader pattern of political opponents to social justice movements building upon anti-protest strategies across Standing Rock, Black Lives Matter, Cop City, and Gaza protests, said Stefanie Fox, executive director of Jewish Voice For Peace.

The goal, civil rights advocates say, is to silence dissent.

“It is clear evidence of an escalating war on protest that the right wing has been waging for the past few decades,” said Fox, who protested at Standing Rock. She sees “vestiges of lawfare to take down water protectors at Standing Rock directly being used against anti-genocide protesters.”

“And the Gaza protests will be used by the right to sharpen new tools that will then be used against all of our communities and all social movements,” Fox added. The theory is supported by the escalation of tactics against ICE protesters currently being witnessed in Minneapolis and elsewhere.  (more...)

This week, as Israel and the United States prepared to launch another war on BRICS-member Iran, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled to Israel.

During his visit, Modi gave a speech in Israel's Knesset in which he effectively declared his undying love for the genocidal entity.

Meanwhile, India appears to have slashed its purchases of Russian oil and has seized oil tankers suspected of carrying Iranian petroleum products. India's BRICS partner China is the largest buyer of Iranian oil.

What does all of this mean for the future of BRICS?

Alexander Rahr, the President of the Eurasia Society in Berlin, who has a long history of experience in working to improve relations between Germany and Russia, expressed deep concern over the report of a possible British-French initiative to provide nuclear weapons to Ukraine.  He decried such talk as dangerous, but not surprising, given the role the British have played in organizing Europe to keep the war against Russia going.  Given the Russophobia of the northern Europeans -- by which he specified nations of Scandinavia and the Baltics, Britain and France -- he said he believes the only hope of ending the war rests with the U.S. President.  Donald Trump will prevail, he said, but he faces opposition in the U.S. from the Democrats and the "Deep State", in addition to that from Europe.  As for the Republicans, he said those who want Trump to succeed in achieving peace in Europe want him to split the alliance between Russia and China, and get Russia to join with the U.S. to face the challenge of China.

He also had interesting comments about what he described as the "weakness" of the Russian army and strategic errors in the war against Ukraine.

He said he watched the "European problem" dominate the last several years of the Munich Security Conference (MSC).  He singled out the failure of Europe's leaders to recognize the emerging "multipolar world" as their problem.  The MSC focus was narrowly on Europe, with no attention given to the BRICS, which is a new element.  He expressed disappointment in the youth in Germany, who act as though nuclear weapons are an issue for older people who live in the past.

In addition to chairing the Eurasia Society in Berlin, Rahr serves as a board member of the Petersburg Dialogue, is a member of the Valdai Club and a former senior adviser to Gazprom.

Trump targets two Muslim Congresswomen with deportation call after State of Union clash

politics State of the Union Trump Islam deportation women interruption ICE

In a fresh display of hostility toward dissent, US President Donald Trump has demanded the deportation of two Muslim members of Congress after they challenged him during his State of the Union address.

Trump demanded on Wednesday that Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar be expelled from the United States following their vocal protest during his address to Congress on Tuesday evening.

The two Democratic lawmakers interrupted the speech - the longest-ever address of its kind - to condemn Trump’s immigration policies, shouting, “You have killed Americans!” before leaving the chamber.

In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump attacked them personally, writing, “When people can behave like that, and knowing that they are Crooked and Corrupt Politicians, so bad for our Country, we should send them back from where they came — as fast as possible.”

Omar, originally from Somalia, has held US citizenship for nearly 30 years, while Tlaib, a Palestinian American born in Detroit, has been a citizen since birth. Under US law, neither can be deported to an ancestral country.

Tlaib pushed back on X, stating, “Can't take two Muslims talking back and correcting him so now he is crashing out. #PresidentMajnoon,” using an Arabic phrase meaning “mad” president.

The clash underscored ongoing friction between the White House and progressive lawmakers critical of the administration.  (more...)

The Voice of Hind Rajab: The Film They Don’t Want You to See

The Voice of Hind Rajab film Gaza genocide censorship suppression oppression

“The Voice of Hind Rajab,” like all great pieces of art, takes a straightforward story — the battle to save the life of a 6-year-old girl, Hind Rajab, trapped in a car in Gaza surrounded by murdered family members — and elevates it to an archetype. This story is as old as time. It lies at the heart of all religious and moral literature. It pits the cruelty and heartlessness of power against the empathy and compassion of the powerless. It asks us what kind of a life we want to live. Is it a life defined by hubris, domination and violence? Or is it a life defined by compassion, justice and self-sacrifice? These are moral, not political questions.

To nurture, preserve and protect the lives of those demonized in war is to be branded a traitor — a subversive, the enemy. It is to risk death. War, and especially genocide, is the quintessential expression of what Sigmund Freud called Thanatos, the death instinct that drives humans towards the destructions of others and themselves. Those who fight for Eros, for life, are eliminated. This schism is at the core of the film. It is the struggle between good and evil, light and dark. And, as so often happens in war, Thanatos prevails. This almost certain defeat gives unquestioned nobility to those who defy the forces of death.

Israel and its supporters do not want the outside world to see the bureaucratic machinery that perpetuates its mass slaughter, but I suspect, even more, it does not want the world to see the humanity of the Palestinians who resist.

It was hard to find a screening. I traveled for over an hour to see it at the Film Forum in New York City, which had just one showing at 4:45 in the afternoon. I understood why. Despite critical acclaim, an Oscar-nominated director and industry heavyweights like Brad Pitt and Joaquin Phoenix behind it, the film — directed by Tunisian filmmaker, Kaouther Ben Hania —faced major difficulties in getting an American distributor — reportedly out of “fear” and disagreement “with the film’s politics,” according to a report by Deadline.

It is not only devastating, not only a cinematic masterpiece, but it rips back all the layers of rhetoric and propaganda to expose the fundamental struggle between the Israeli occupier and the occupied. The struggle is, yes, a conflict about the theft of Palestinian land. It is, as well, a conflict about a violent and lethal occupation, one that has become full-blown genocide in Gaza. But it is also the ancient struggle between the forces of life and death.  (more...)

Christian Identity Roots? Investigating Branham’s Doctrinal Sources

Christian Identity Pentecostalism Los Angeles Jeffersonville Ku Klux Klan serpent seed William Branham

John and Charles examine historical records surrounding William Branham’s associations with Roy Davis, Gerald Winrod, and figures connected to the Ku Klux Klan and early Christian Identity thought. They explore how political movements in Indiana and California intersected with mid-century revival culture, asking where certain controversial doctrines may have originated.

The discussion traces the Indiana Klan of the 1920s, the National States Rights Party in the 1950s and 60s, and Jeffersonville’s place in that broader historical web. Rather than speculation alone, the focus is on documented relationships, ideological overlap, and the unanswered questions that continue to shape debates within the Message movement.

Over 900 Cases of Palestine solidarity repression recorded in Britain

UK Britain Palestine solidarity repression censorship lawfare dismissals arrests smears disinformation harrassment doxing

An advocacy group says it recorded more than 900 incidents of repression targeting Palestine solidarity activists across Britain in the past six years.

Palestinian solidarity in Britain is being "silenced, criminalised and sanctioned," according to the European Legal Support Center (ELSC), with more than 900 documented incidents of repression reported over the past six years.

The group, in collaboration with research agency Forensic Architecture, launched what it calls an "Index of Repression," cataloguing cases ranging from employment dismissals to arrests.

According to the ELSC, individuals have faced smears, disinformation campaigns, harassment, doxing, visa cancellations, financial blacklisting, job losses, and arrest. The group said many of these actions were justified by allegations of antisemitism or support for terrorism. The index identifies police (220 incidents), educational institutions (192), pro-"Israel" advocacy groups (141), and journalists and other media actors (141) as the primary "actors of repression."

Students, academics, and teachers accounted for the highest number of recorded cases (336 incidents), followed by activists and organisers (229). Artists and cultural workers were frequently affected by event cancellations, with 71 such incidents documented.  (more...)

Rights group finds six-year pattern of 'anti-Palestinian repression' across UK

UK Palestine solidarity repression criminalization imperialism Zionism Israel lobby

A legal rights organization has documented a “systematic effort” to suppress pro-Palestine solidarity movements in Britain, recording nearly 1,000 incidents over the past six years that reveal an entrenched pattern of “anti-Palestinian repression.”

The European Legal Support Center (ELSC) said it verified 964 cases between 2019 and August 2025 involving arrests, workplace sanctions, visa revocations, university investigations and event cancellations linked to expressions of solidarity with Palestinians.

Working with researchers from Forensic Architecture, the group published the cases in an “Index of Repression,” a public database intended to map patterns across institutions, including universities, employers, cultural venues and government bodies.

According to the ELSC, the incidents reflect coordinated pressure aimed at framing Palestine advocacy as a security concern rather than a legitimate political position. The organization argues that the impact stretches from campuses to workplaces, creating a chilling effect on public expression.

Among the cases highlighted is a student at the University of Warwick who was arrested after displaying a protest sign during a campus rally in late 2023.  (more...)

Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, author, & theologian Chris Hedges returns to Bad Faith to engage in a spirited debate about how to act  now that liberal incrementalism has led to incremental fascism. Why does it feel like so much left discourse is explaining why we aren't ready to act?: Insufficient union density, insufficient political consciousness, insufficient organization? Also, Hedges discusses his viral commentary on Epstein's relationship with Noam Chomsky, why he's not a Marxist, and more.

Canadian Media Gives American Fighter Jets More Favourable Coverage

Canada waste boondoggle military F-35 purchase media bias Lockheed Martin corruption

Champions of the F-35 fighter jet deal were quoted 41 per cent more often than critics.

Canada’s major media outlets have overrepresented proponents of a massive fighter jet deal between the federal government and American arms company Lockheed Martin, an analysis by The Maple has found.

Under Justin Trudeau, the federal government announced the deal for 88 F-35 jets, which would carry an estimated lifetime cost of nearly $74 billion.

Prime Minister Mark Carney, however, threw the deal up in the air in March 2025, announcing that while Canada had already paid for 16 F-35s, the government would review whether the additional 72 jets were needed.

The decision to undertake the review came following U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated threats to turn Canada into the “51st state” and his imposition of steep trade tariffs.

Now, it appears the Carney government is putting down funds to buy just 30 F-35s from Lockheed Martin.

The Maple analyzed 55 news articles and columns published by CBC News, the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail and National Post about the F-35 purchase since Carney announced his government’s review of the deal.

Champions of the deal were quoted 41 per cent more often than critics.

Steven Staples, founder and vice-president of the board at the Rideau Institute, said he wasn’t surprised by The Maple’s findings.

“You just can’t underestimate the power of the defence lobby to mobilize experts, academic researchers that they fund, military leaders who hope to retire early and work for defence contractors at some point, or even just ideologically aligned people in government or in the national security establishment who really have a great allegiance to working closely with the United States,” he said.  (more...)

Epstein-linked former Norwegian PM hospitalized after suicide attempt – media

Norway Thorbjorn Jagland Jeffrey Epstein resignation suicide corruption politics

Thorbjorn Jagland is reportedly in hospital in serious condition after being charged with gross corruption over ties to the convicted sex offender

Former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjorn Jagland was hospitalized last week after a suicide attempt, days after being charged with gross corruption over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, Norwegian outlet iNyheter has claimed.

Citing a “rock-solid source,” iNyheter wrote that Jagland’s condition is serious. The facility treating the 75-year-old statesman has not been disclosed.

Jagland is one of Norway's most prominent political figures, having served as prime minister, parliament leader, foreign minister, and Secretary General of the Council of Europe. He also chaired the Norwegian Nobel Committee from 2009 to 2015.

Earlier this month, Jagland was charged with gross corruption following the release of the latest batch of Epstein files by the US Justice Department. Norway's anti-corruption agency carried out extensive searches of Jagland's properties in Oslo and Risor.

According to the agency’s letter to the Council of Europe seeking to lift his immunity, Jagland and his immediate family used Epstein's private apartments in Paris and New York multiple times between 2011 and 2018, and stayed at his villa in Palm Beach, Florida. Jagland also allegedly asked Epstein for assistance with a bank loan.  (more...)

Search for “Ghislaine Maxwell and Israel.” No results.

Ditto when searching the terms “Mossad” or “Israel” with the names of Ghislaine’s father, media mogul and reputed Mossad asset Robert Maxwell; or Epstein’s close associate, former Israeli prime minister and military intelligence official Ehud Barak; or Epstein’s chief financial backer, retail magnate Les Wexner of Victoria Secret’s fame, who has donated millions to Israeli-related causes.

What’s mostly in the data dump are millions of frustrating blackouts, boring dross, needless repetition and the occasional titillating distraction. Little, if anything, of investigative substance can be searched and found. The World Christian Fundamentalist Association & Branham’s Circle

Fundamentalists Pentecostals Angelus Temple Ku Klux Klan KKK cults racism white supremacy

John and Charles examine the complex religious and political networks that surrounded William Branham’s early ministry. They explore the rise of fundamentalist opposition to modernist biblical interpretation, the World Christian Fundamentalist Association, and the surprising overlap between revivalist leaders, prohibition politics, and extremist movements in the early 20th century.

The discussion traces connections between Roy E. Davis, Gerald Winrod, Paul Rader, Amy Semple McPherson, and the Angelus Temple, following the threads that lead into the Latter Rain movement and Branham’s healing revivals. By placing these figures within their historical context, the episode adds depth to the broader story of how revivalism, nationalism, and organized religious movements intersected in the 1920s–1950s.

Andrew, formerly known as Prince and the dark powers behind the throne

Britain Prince Andrew arrest birthday 66 deflection public relations monarchy

For the first time in 380 years, a senior British royal was arrested by the police. The system is now in an existential struggle to defend its legitimacy.

A fairly spectacular turn of events took place in the UK last week: on Thursday, 19 February, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince, was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The alleged misconduct (quite a can of worms) was linked to his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. His brother is currently the king of the realm but was not informed about his arrest ahead of time.

As far as the ordinary deplorables are concerned, the king’s full title is: Charles the Third, by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of His other Realms and Territories King, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith. When you add up all the “other Realms and Territories,” it turns out that Charles is the head of state of 15 “independent” countries.

In other words, these folks are much, much better than you or I, and it is far beneath them to get arrested by the police. The last time a senior British royal was arrested was during the English Civil War when king Charles I was captured and later executed. That was in 1646 - 380 years ago! Thankfully for Andrew, he was not executed but merely held for about 11 hours, then released under investigation without being charged or exonerated. It’s almost as though it was a PR stunt of some sort. If so, we might ask, why?

Granted, king is the king “by the grace of God,” so questioning him, his kingship and even his family members is tantamount to questioning God. Still, the deplorables appear to be restless and uppity; they are questioning the legitimacy of his majesty’s government. That, as we discussed last week (“The perfect storm slowly engulfing Great Britain”), is one of the key elements that can trigger a civil war, as happened in 1646/47 when a different king Charles actually got beheaded.

Arresting Mountbatten-Windsor and ruining his 66th birthday may have been a spectacular way to reassert the governing principle that, “no one is above the law” (except all the others) and that therefore, the governing system is perfectly legitimate.  (more...)
