The AI Drones Used In Gaza Now Surveilling American Cities

technology police AI drones surveillance Skydio IDF Israel Gaza targeting oppression

AI-powered quadcopter drones used by the IDF to commit genocide in Gaza are flying over American cities, surveilling protestors and automatically uploading millions of images to an evidence database.

The drones are made by a company called Skydio which in the last few years has gone from relative obscurity to quietly become a multi-billion dollar company and the largest drone manufacturer in the US.

The extent of Skydio drone usage across the US, and the extent to which their usage has grown in just a few years, is extraordinary. The company has contracts with more than 800 law enforcement and security agencies across the country, up from 320 in March last year, and their drones are being launched hundreds of times a day to monitor people in towns and cities across the country.

Skydio has extensive links with Israel. In the first weeks of the genocide the California-based company sent more than one hundred drones to the IDF with promises of more to come. How many more were delivered since that admission is unknown. Skydio has an office in Israel and partners with DefenceSync, a local military drone contractor operating as the middle man between drone manufacturers and the IDF. Skydio has also raised hundreds of millions of dollars from Israeli-American venture capitalists and from venture capital funds with extensive investments in Israel, including from Marc Andreessen’s firm Andreessen Horowitz, or a16z.

And now these drones, tested in genocide and refined on Palestinians, are swarming American cities.  (more...)

Leaked: Britain's Ukrainian Sniper Training Plot

Britain academia Ukraine sniper training military St. Andrews University

Since the Ukraine proxy war’s eruption, a shadowy cabal of British academics has secretly advised the US National Security Council on escalatory strategies. Many of their recommendations - some inspired by ISIS - have been adopted by Washington. It’s uncertain whether one of the boldest proposals - to train Ukrainian snipers on American soil - was one way or another greenlit. More gravely, this effort was intended to set a trap for the Biden administration, luring the US into deeper involvement in the conflict.

A leaked document, authored in April 2022 by St. Andrews University lecturer and the British cabal’s chief NSC contact Marc DeVore, sets out a bold vision for Washington’s “non-profit associations, civil society and private sector businesses” to tutor Ukrainian sharpshooters. US citizens were reputed to possess “the wherewithal and…motivation to provide such training,” while DeVore judged Donbass’ “slow-moving” battlefield - with its emphasis on “urban combat” - to be “an environment ideal for snipers.”

DeVore believed neither Ukraine nor Russia were “well-provided with snipers”, due to their common military “Soviet heritage”. By contrast, the US was “ideally placed to help Ukraine fill this ‘sniper gap’”, due to the country’s “surfeit of snipers, including US Army and Marine Corps veterans with experience in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the police snipers belonging to large numbers of SWAT teams.” Moreover, DeVore venerated “high standards of civilian marksmanship” in the US, due to “large” national networks of “rifle ranges and shooting clubs.”

The ability to purchase “the world’s most competitive sniper rifles” legally Stateside was an added bonus. Nonetheless, the true icing on the cake, per DeVore, was triangulating the Biden administration into formally endorsing Western arming and training of Ukrainian forces. The academic bemoaned how to date, Washington had been “timid” in offering direct assistance to Kiev, such as avoiding “overtly providing heavy weaponry”, due to “excessive fears of Russian retaliation/escalation,” and a “desire to maintain…deniability” in delivering such assistance.  (more...)

‘No restrictions’ and a secret ‘wink’: Inside Israel’s deal with Google, Amazon

technology cloud services Amazon Google Israel complicity Gaza genocide collusion lawlessness evasion

To secure the lucrative Project Nimbus contract, the tech giants agreed to disregard their own terms of service and sidestep legal orders by tipping Israel off if a foreign court demands its data, a joint investigation reveals.

In 2021, Google and Amazon signed a $1.2 billion contract with the Israeli government to provide it with advanced cloud computing and AI services — tools that were used during Israel’s two-year onslaught on the Gaza Strip. Details of the lucrative contract, known as Project Nimbus, were kept under wraps.

But an investigation by +972 Magazine, Local Call, and The Guardian can now reveal that Google and Amazon submitted to highly unorthodox “controls” that Israel inserted into the deal, in anticipation of legal challenges over its use of the technology in the occupied West Bank and Gaza.

Leaked Israeli Finance Ministry documents obtained by The Guardian — including a finalized version of the contract — and sources familiar with the negotiations reveal two stringent demands that Israel imposed on the tech giants as part of the deal. The first prohibits Google and Amazon from restricting how Israel uses their products, even if this use breaches their terms of service. The second obliges the companies to secretly notify Israel if a foreign court orders them to hand over the country’s data stored on their cloud platforms, effectively sidestepping their legal obligations.

Running for an initial seven years with the possibility of extension, Project Nimbus was designed to enable Israel to transfer vast quantities of data belonging to its government agencies, security services, and military units onto the two companies’ cloud servers: Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform. But even two years before October 7, Israeli officials drafting the contract had already anticipated the potential for legal cases to be brought against Google and Amazon regarding the use of their technology in the occupied territories.  (more...)

John and Christian dive deep into the power of language in shaping faith, belief, and identity. They explore how loaded terms like “Seven Seals” carried entire theologies within Branham’s movement and how mystery cults through history have used hidden language to create exclusivity and control. From William Branham’s claims about the Arizona cloud to the rise of esoteric language in modern charismatic circles, they connect historical deception with today’s manipulation of words and meanings.

The conversation also unpacks the roots of Pentecostal prophecy, the false advertisement problem within religious publishing, and the global reach of Branham’s network through figures like William T. They compare German and American struggles with nationalism, examine how speech patterns can create entire pseudo-religions, and reflect on the dangers of confusing patriotism or cultural values with biblical Christianity. Brazilian criminals trained in Ukraine bomb police with drones

Brazil Rio d Janeiro Red Command favelas drones military training Ukraine cartels organized crime drugs

Ukraine is becoming a training ground for criminals and terrorists from all over the world.

On October 28th, the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, experienced one of the most difficult moments in its recent history. Urban violence reached unprecedented levels, resulting in a major offensive by security forces against criminal groups. Although gang warfare in Brazil is not new, there is something extraordinary in the current scenario: now, Brazilian criminals are using drones to bomb enemy positions, employing military techniques learned by Brazilian mercenaries who fought for Ukraine against Russia.

The military campaign launched by the police in the last week of October was called "Operation Containment" and aimed to capture the main leaders of the Brazilian criminal faction "Comando Vermelho - CV" (Red Command) in the favelas "Complexo do Alemão" and "Complexo da Penha," located in the northern zone of Rio de Janeiro. Upon noticing the approaching police, the criminals reacted with extreme violence, firing assault rifles, throwing grenades, and using drones to blast police vehicles. Subsequently, the criminals attempted to escape capture by crossing a forested area surrounding the favelas, but special forces were hidden in the area and were efficient in neutralizing the enemy.

More than one hundred deaths of criminals have already been confirmed, but the body count is far from over. Some rumors point out that nearly 200 drug traffickers have been eliminated. In addition, 80 bandits were arrested. There are no credible reports of civilian injuries during the hostilities. Four police officers died in the hostilities, including two special forces commandos. Considering that more than 2,500 police troops participated in the attack on the CV-controlled favelas, it is possible to say that the operation was a success from a military point of view.

However, even so, the intensity of the counterattack carried out by the CV militants impressed Brazilian police officers and military experts. Previously, the use of drones to launch grenades had only been reported once in Rio de Janeiro – used by a rival faction against CV in a confrontation for territorial control. This time, however, the traffickers used more sophisticated drones, capable of launching various explosives, and were successful in hitting police positions at a considerable distance. Similarly, drones were used to damage streets and impede car traffic – a common tactic of organized crime in Rio to generate urban chaos and pressure the police to retreat from the favelas.

This occurs amidst a well-known process of the return to Brazil of several mercenaries who enlisted to fight in Ukraine alongside Kiev's troops against Russian forces. Local experts immediately linked the scenes in Rio de Janeiro to the events in Ukraine. For example, Valmir Salaro, a Brazilian investigative reporter, stated:

"The retaliation from the criminals was immediate; they even used drones with bombs. We only saw this type of weapon, drones remotely controlled by criminals, in the war between Ukraine and Russia. This is extremely heavy weaponry. The criminals have many weapons; they obtain them easily, confronting the police, who don't have similar weaponry (...) The drone with a bomb, a drug trafficker from a favela location is there choosing (a target), because it has a camera attached, so he knows where he's going to drop the bomb. It's frightening; we hadn't seen this (in Brazil)," he said.

In the same vein, Igor Gielow, a Brazilian journalist who covered the conflict in Ukraine on the ground, commented on the case, stating:

"The use of drones in the reaction of the Comando Vermelho drug traffickers to the Rio police operation was the first major episode of its kind involving security forces in the state. It will not be the last. The use of small flying ‘robots’ follows the logic of the battlefields of the Ukrainian War, which in three years and eight months has changed the way close combat takes place (...) (The new military) reality soon transferred to crime. Drug cartels in Mexico make notorious use of drones. In Brazil, the first reports began to emerge last year, with evidence that drug trafficking was tactically ahead of the police."

To make matters worse, there is clear evidence that Brazilian criminals acquired this type of knowledge from pro-Ukrainian mercenaries. Moreover, Brazilian authorities claim that local factions are sending their members to Ukraine, where they train and gain real combat experience. Then, the criminals return and share their military knowledge, including drone handling techniques, with local gangs.  (more...)

Ex-Cabinet Minister smeared journalist in Parliament, rewarded with Senate committee appearance

Canada Senate Chris Alexander smear KGB agent disinformation deception impunity Ottawa Citizen mainstream media journalism David Pugliese Ukraine Chrystia Freeland Nazi grandfather politics

Last October, an ex-Conservative Cabinet Minister baselessly smeared an Ottawa Citizen journalist as a supposed KGB agent in a Parliament committee hearing. Despite that committee’s members later criticizing Alexander’s accusations, he was rewarded with a Senate committee appearance, on the same topic, with zero demands for accountability made by committee members.

Chris Alexander, a former federal Immigration Minister under the Stephen Harper government, known for his role in the dropped ‘Barbaric Cultural Practices tipline’, had been invited to testify during a meeting of Canadian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security focused on supposed Russian disinformation and interference, held on October 24, 2024.

Speech in Canada’s Parliament is protected by Parliamentary Immunity. Using this immunity, Alexander stunningly claimed that Ottawa Citizen defence reporter David Pugliese was a long-time KGB agent. His source?

“photocopies of documents….[that] originated in the ‘pre-1991 archives of the Ukrainian KGB.’… and were in the hands of Canadian ‘national security officials’… [which] had been authenticated by ‘several of the world’s leading experts on KGB documents.’”

The problem? Even the Ukrainian archives, under a country that has spent the years since 2014 knocking down Soviet statues and persecuting communists, were unable to verify Alexander’s supposed bombshell files. This revelation was contained within a forensic review conducted by independent researcher Giuseppe Bianchin, which stated “these pages alleging David Pugliese's recruitment by the KGB are beyond reasonable doubt modern forgeries, crafted with deliberate intent to deceive.”

But what work has Pugliese done that ruffled Alexander’s feathers? He exposed the Freeland family secret, of former Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland’s grandfather being a Nazi collaborator, reported on “Ukraine's Nazi links or Nazis in Canada” and had “provocative takes on procurement and other issues at the Department of National Defence and in the Canadian Forces”, among other topics.  (more...)

Find IDF Soldiers Canada database links disappeared cover-up justice accountability

The Maple has recorded cases where pages linked to on the Find IDF Soldiers website have been deleted, modified or made private.

Find IDF Soldiers, The Maple’s database of Canadians who have joined the Israeli military, contains more than 2,200 links spread between the 206 profiles on the website. All of the links were active as of the date each profile was published.

In an effort to keep the database as clean as possible, I’ve run occasional scans of the site with third-party software that returns reports on dead links. These scans have found dozens of them.

In some cases, these links have been to material that describes an individual’s involvement in the Israeli military. There have also been cases where an existing piece of content has been edited to remove mentions of participation in the Israeli military, or where it has been made private.

In order to preserve the public record, this article lists all the dead links and modified content I’ve discovered pertaining to Israeli military service. It’s likely that the article doesn’t contain all existing examples due to potential inadequacies in the collection process, such as that some sources are only textually linked on the site, meaning an automated program can’t pick them up.

In most cases, it’s unclear who removed or edited the content, or why they may have done so. This article is not being published to make any accusations about why content has been removed or edited, but merely to note that it has happened.  (more...)

Ireland's outspoken new president may push boundaries on Gaza

Ireland President Catherine Connolly Palestine solidarity advocacy politics conscience morality social justice

Palestine supporters hope Catherine Connolly will leverage her platform to hold Israel accountable

Here’s something I’d never seen before: Palestinians on social media enthusiastically celebrating the result of an Irish presidential election.

Yet that’s exactly what happened over the weekend when Catherine Connolly, an independent parliamentarian and devoted supporter of Palestine, stormed to victory with a thumping majority.

More than two years into Israel’s genocide, with the Israeli army continuing to kill Palestinians despite the ceasefire with Hamas, it’s unsurprising that Gaza loomed large during the campaign in a country notable for pro-Palestine sympathies.

As Connolly’s win became clear on Saturday, supporters of Palestine around the world expressed hope that the softly spoken, yet fiercely articulate, 68-year-old would leverage her new platform to make herself heard on the international stage.

Sadly, it won’t be quite that simple.

Ireland is a parliamentary republic, and the presidency is a largely ceremonial position without political power. In fact, presidents are expected not to be outspoken and never to undermine the government of the day. Essentially, they are supposed to play nice.

That model, though, was somewhat upended when Mary Robinson became president in 1990 as the first woman and youngest-ever holder of the office. Up to that point, the presidency was considered a job for the boys; a cushy retirement gig for loyal servants to Ireland’s biggest political party, Fianna Fail. Press some flesh, play a little golf, head off on jollies around the world, and live in a nice big house.  (more...)

The Gaza Tribunal Final Session

Gaza Tribunal Sarajevo Gaza genocide justice accountability Israel United Nations ICJ ICC South Africa international law alternative paradigm

Gaza represents a breaking point in the historical journey of humanity, where a global system based on power, not justice, prevails.

We are witnessing the total failure of the organised international community to implement international law in the most severe, visible case of genocide in real time.

Encouraged by the South African precedent, which also mobilised and organised the “peoples of the world” in an anti-Apartheid campaign to isolate South Africa, the aim of the Gaza Tribunal is to awaken civil society to its responsibility and opportunity to stop Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

The ICJ and the ICC have so far acted professionally, not succumbing to the geopolitics exerted by the Security Council and, to a lesser extent, the General Assembly of the United Nations, but the judgements from these Courts depend on the political will of the Security Council to be enforced, which, at present, seems unlikely.

The Gaza Tribunal is an effort to close this enforcement gap by exerting civil society pressure on governments to act. The tribunal can also be seen as one symbolic battleground in the legitimacy war that has been ongoing for more than a century between Israel and Palestine.

The Tribunal contributes to the legitimisation of an alternative paradigm of international law, one that derives its authority from people and their sense of justice rather than relying solely on governments and their institutions.

The United Nations special rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories has briefed members of the world body’s General Assembly on how more than sixty governments, most importantly Western powers and several Arab states, have been enabling the Israeli regime’s “genocidal machinery” in Gaza.

On Tuesday, Francesca Albanese delivered her presentation of her latest report, whose advance version had been released less than a week ago, to the General Assembly remotely, at the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation, in Cape Town, South Africa.

According to her, the 24-page report, titled Gaza Genocide: A Collective Crime, showed how those states have been turning a blind eye as the coastal sliver’s two-million-plus war-hit and besieged population was being bombed, starved, and erased.

The vast web of military, economic, and diplomatic complicity stretched from Washington and Berlin to London and beyond, she noted, speaking from South Africa, the symbolic ground for anti-apartheid struggle.

Albanese said global powers had “harmed, founded, and shielded Israel’s militarized apartheid,” allowing its settler-colonial project to metastasize into genocide, “the ultimate crime against the indigenous people of Palestine.”

Her 24-page report traced how weapons, technology, and intelligence from the colluding countries have helped sustain the assault that has left Gaza, in her words, “strangled, starved, shattered.”  (more...)

For decades, a shadowy network of corporate elites, political operatives, and Supreme Court justices has worked behind the scenes to dismantle campaign finance laws and rig the system in favor of the ultra-wealthy. Master Plan uncovers the hidden history of how unrestrained money and influence have transformed the United States into a full-fledged kleptocracy - where policy is bought, elections are manipulated, and corruption operates in plain sight.

Based on the award-winning investigative podcast from The Lever, journalist David Sirota and producer Jared Jacang Maher trace this blueprint back to a little-known memo written by future Supreme Court Justice Lewis Powell. With newly unearthed documents and gripping storytelling, they reveal how this manifesto became a roadmap for dismantling democracy - one that corporate leaders implemented at secret meetings in places like Disney World, that inspired wealthy anti-government radicals like Joseph Coors to fund the Heritage Foundation, and that paved the way for operatives like Roger Ailes to build Fox News. From Nixon's Watergate cover-up to the Citizens United ruling and today's dark-money super PACs, Master Plan exposes the calculated efforts to use wealth to control political leaders and legalize corruption at every level of government.

Francesca Albanese to deliver 'symbolic' UN speech from South Africa after Trump sanctions

Francesca Albanese UN Special Rapporteur for Palestine Occupied Territory Trump sanctions South Africa General Assembly New York headquarters report

Sanctioned by the US, the UN special rapporteur on Palestine will not be able to travel to New York for the UN General Assembly

The United Nations special rapporteur on Palestine is set to deliver a speech before the UN General Assembly from Cape Town instead of New York due to the US sanctions imposed against her earlier this year.

Francesca Albanese will officially launch her new report on Tuesday on third-state complicity in the genocide in Gaza from the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation in Cape Town, South Africa.

In her speech, Albanese is expected to condemn the sanctions against her, imposed by the administration of Donald Trump in July, which effectively barred her from traveling to the US and froze her assets there.

She has since been unable to officially present her work at the UN General Assembly headquarters in New York, as is required for all UN experts.

"In a few days, I will have the privilege of presenting my final report to the United Nations General Assembly, titled Gaza Genocide: A Collective Crime, and I will do so from Cape Town. How symbolic," she told a sizable audience at the annual 23rd Nelson Mandela lecture at the Sandton Convention Centre in northern Johannesburg on Saturday.

While the United States has banned me - and with that, my analysis and recommendations - I am here, in this country that once again stands at the cusp of what can be the beginning of a new multilateralism, challenging once more colonial and imperial power structures."  (more...)

Signatories demand that the paper examine its bias, update its style guide on Israel-Palestine, and call for a US arms embargo

More than 150 New York Times contributors have signed a pledge not to write for the US newspaper's opinion section, citing its “biased coverage” of the Israel-Palestine conflict and war on Gaza.

“Until The New York Times takes accountability for its biased coverage and commits to truthfully and ethically reporting on the US-Israeli war on Gaza, any putative 'challenge' to the newsroom or the editorial board in the form of a first-person essay is, in effect, permission to continue this malpractice,” the signatories to the letter wrote.

“Only by withholding our labor can we mount an effective challenge to the hegemonic authority that the Times has long used to launder the US and Israel’s lies,” the writers added.

The letter was signed by dozens of high-profile activists, artists, and US politicians including Rima Hassan; Chelsea Manning; Rashida Tlaib; Sally Rooney; Elia Suleiman; Greta Thunberg; Viet Than Nguyen; and Dave Zirin.

“We owe it to the journalists and writers of Palestine to refuse complicity with the Times, and to demand that the paper account for its failures, such that it can never again manufacture consent for mass slaughter, torture, and displacement,” the authors wrote.

Some other prominent names joining the boycott include Chris Hedges; Marc Lamont Hill; Noura Erakat; Vijay Prashad; Mariame Kaba; Robin DG Kelley; Mohammed el-Kurd; Susan Stryker; Jia Tolentino; Eve L Ewing; Dean Spade; Nyle Fort; Susan Abulhawa; and Rashid Khalidi.  (more...)

A guest of the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Albanese said that “intervening for Palestine is not an act of charity,” but one of “united struggles.”

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese has said that the “brutality and inhumanity” unleashed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip as well as the occupied Palestinian territories, is a “collective crime that has been enabled exactly because no one has respected the law.”

Addressing a packed interfaith gathering in Cape Town on Sunday, Albanese emphasized that “intervening for Palestine is not an act of charity,” but one of “united struggles.”

“No one has done what was supposed to do; cutting ties with Israel, no more weapons, no buying weapons, no more diamonds, no more juice, no more fruits, nothing. You cut economic trade, you cut everything to Israel. You cut (the) partnership,” she stressed.

Nationals who have fought in the Israeli army should be “considered suspect” and investigated, she said, noting that “If there is evidence that they have committed crimes, they have to be prosecuted … and convicted.”  (more...)

Hi-tech Holocaust: How Microsoft Aids the Gaza Genocide

Israel’s genocide is being powered by Microsoft. From creating a massive digital dragnet, aiding in the production of A.I.-generated kill lists, hiring hundreds of Israeli spies to run its internal affairs, and suppressing figures opposing the slaughter, the Seattle-based tech corporation has played a key role in the violence.

MintPress has detailed the deep collaboration between the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Amazon, Google, TikTok, Apple, Palantir, and Oracle, but Microsoft’s relationship with the government and armed forces of Israel is potentially the closest, leading then-CEO Steve Ballmer to state that “Microsoft is as much an Israeli company as an American company.” MintPress explores the decades-long partnership between Microsoft and Israel, and the employees trying to break that marriage from the inside.

“Among U.S. tech firms,” the Associated Press wrote, “Microsoft has had an especially close relationship with the Israeli military.” That relationship, it notes, massively expanded after the October 7, 2023, attacks.

In the months following October 7, the IDF’s usage of Microsoft’s Azure cloud service surged more than 200-fold. The amount of data from surveillance cameras, drones, checkpoints, biometric scanners, phone calls, and intercepted Palestinian personal data stored by the IDF on Microsoft servers doubled in the next nine months, reaching 13.6 petabytes by July 2024 – equivalent to 23,000 years of audio, or seven trillion pages of text.

The point of all this was to create an enormous digital dragnet, where Palestinians’ every move, word, and keystroke was recorded in monitored in the greatest and most dystopian digital dragnet ever created. In the words of Yossi Sariel, the head of Unit 8200, the IDF’s surveillance division, the plan was to “track everyone, all of the time.”  (more...)

Gaza Tribunal’s Final Verdict Declares Israel’s Actions Genocide, Calls for Global Action

Gaza Tribunal Instanbul University public hearings final statement moral judgement condemnation global inaction Jury of Conscience

The Gaza Tribunal’s final judgment names Israel’s conduct in Gaza as genocide, condemning global inaction and affirming the duty of civil society to act where states have failed.

The Gaza People’s Tribunal, an international civil society initiative composed of jurists, academics, and human rights advocates, has concluded that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The announcement came on Sunday at Istanbul University, where the Tribunal delivered its final statement and moral judgment after four days of public hearings. The proceedings marked the culmination of a year-long process that began in London in November 2024 and continued in Sarajevo earlier this year.

The panel was chaired by Professor Christine Chinkin, an expert in international law, and presided over by Professor Richard Falk, former UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories. Its jurors, drawn from multiple continents, examined testimony from witnesses, legal experts, and survivors.

According to the panel, the evidence presented across these sessions demonstrates a “coherent and consistent pattern of exterminatory violence” against Gaza’s civilian population, carried out through the deliberate destruction of life, infrastructure, and cultural identity. In its final statement, the jury said it did not speak with the authority of states but as moral witnesses in the face of international inaction. Guided by conscience and informed by international law, the jurors declared that “when law is silenced by power, conscience must become the final tribunal.”

They described the initiative as a civil-society response to the international community’s continuing failure to hold Israel accountable. “Genocide in Gaza is the concern of all humanity,” they said. “When states are silent, civil society must speak out.”

The Tribunal emphasized that it had gathered extensive documentation—eyewitness accounts, expert analyses, and legal papers—that now form a permanent archive of the truth of what it described as “the genocide against the Palestinian people.”  (more...)

Independent candidate Catherine Connolly has long condemned Brussels’ push for military buildup

Independent candidate Catherine Connolly, a long-time advocate of Irish military neutrality and a critic of NATO’s expansion and EU militarization, has won Ireland’s presidential election in a landslide.

The ballot count was still underway when Connolly’s main rival, Heather Humphreys, conceded defeat after early tallies showed her trailing by a wide margin. Preliminary results put Connolly ahead by 63% to 29%.

“Catherine will be a president for all of us and she will be my president,” Humphreys told journalists.

Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin also formally congratulated Connolly on what he said “will be a very comprehensive election victory.”

Although an independent, the 68-year-old former Galway mayor was supported by major left-wing parties, including Sinn Fein and Labour.  (more...)

Zionists target MAGA influencers

MAGA influencers Israel funding shills hasbara deception foreign agents registration evasion propaganda narrative control

In today's show, we'll be highlighting how Israel has lost many of its influential right-wing backers in the United States.

In our first report, Latifa Abouchakra, explains how it's now scrambling to repair the damage that it's sustained, as a result of losing some of its most powerful advocates.

Our next report uncovers the lengths to which the Zionist colony is going to dodge the impact of the Foreign Agents Registration Act in the United States. And they're being helped to do so by the Trump administration.

Western journalists know they have a case to answer for their betrayal of Gaza, and it frightens them

Western journalists accountability Christopher Hedges Australia ethics propaganda credibility moral failures Gaza betrayal fear reckoning

Samuel Geddes exposes Western journalists’ fear of accountability for their complicity in "Israel’s" Gaza genocide, highlighted by the silencing of veteran reporter Christopher Hedges for confronting their moral and professional collapse.

Pulitzer Prize-winning war correspondent and former Middle East Bureau chief for The New York Times, Christopher Hedges, this week delivered the Edward Said memorial lecture in Australia. He had also been invited to address the country’s national “Press Club” in which he was to highlight the overwhelming moral failures of Western establishment media outlets, chiefly by amplifying Israeli propaganda and undermining the credibility of journalists in Gaza, most of whom "Israel" has subsequently killed in its decimation of the territory’s population.

It shouldn’t really have come as a surprise then, when the Press Club rescinded its invitation to Hedges on the grounds of “balancing out” its programming. Whether or not the withdrawal was directly influenced by Israeli pressure, the collective media aristocracy of the country would hardly have looked forward to the prospect of an actual, decorated reporter scathingly indicting them to their faces on their systematic malpractice and dereliction of duty that has contributed to perhaps the definitive atrocity of the 21st century.

Stalwart ABC journalist David Marr came out to defend “The Club” in a radio interview with a furious Chris Hedges. Rather than seek to engage with the content of what his speech would have been, Marr set about using his training as a barrister to ambush the real journalist in the room, smearing the sponsorship of his tour by a Palestine advocacy group as a “fundamental breaking of the rules,” according to his definition of journalism.

Beneath the sniveling pettiness and affected outrage of his attacks on Hedges, lurked a palpable sense of indignation that anyone, least of all a decorated journalist, would attack his “club” of establishment approved media personalities for having not done their job, to the point of betraying those Gazans practicing journalism in its purest form.

Marr, whose career is not particularly distinguished by international reporting, much less from a warzone, attempted to impugn Hedges’ authority on Gaza (where he lived for seven years) by pointing out that he hadn’t been in the territory since 2005 and hence his lack of recent experience there might not have measured up to the Club’s exacting standards.  (more...)

How the Hate Card Could Play in Canada

Pierre Poilievre xenophobia anti-immigration hate exclusion bigotry Christian Nationalism politics white supremacy foreign workers

A political storm is coming, and it’s going to hit hard. However, I’m not talking about the Washington-based storm. This one is a home-grown tempest, and the dark clouds have been building on the horizon for quite some time.

Most of us have been preoccupied with the ongoing chaos Donald Trump is creating. Our political attention has been on how the Prime Minister is negotiating the treacherous waters of trade and sovereignty. But the focus for Canada’s right-wing politicians has been elsewhere.

Did you notice that coming into the new session of Parliament, Pierre Poilievre stated that his number one priority was killing the foreign worker program?

Then he followed with the claim that Christians (read white) “may be the number 1 group that are victims of hate-based violence.”

The comments caused a great deal of eye rolling in the political media sphere. It seemed as if Poilievre wasn’t reading the mood of the nation.

Au contraire.

Poilievre is reading the cards very well.

So is Premier Danielle Smith, who, rather than deal with the disintegrating state of Alberta’s health care and education system, has stated her priority of posting people’s immigration status on provincial driver’s licenses.

MAPLE MAGA are setting the stage for a political play that has proven devastatingly effective across Europe and the United States. Their target will be to fan fears about immigrants.  (more...)

The Voices of Many Jews

Judaism anti-Zionism Israel conscience independence Palestine solidarity

This very welcome letter marks out the significantly worsening alienation between world Jewry and the Zionists’ defacement of the Judaic tradition.

At last, at last, Jews with powerful voices have gathered en masse — a critical mass, I would say — to condemn Israel and the savage spree of murder, starvation and terror it inflicts as we speak upon the Palestinians of Gaza and the Occupied Territories of the West Bank.

You may by now be aware of the open letter signed by 450–plus American, European and Israeli Jews and made public this week. In it, this sprawling group of distinguished personages denounces the criminality of the Zionist regime and asserts “the universality of justice and the fair and equal application of international law.” The signatories also call for the international community to impose immediate sanctions on apartheid Israel.

This is very big, in my read. I say this not because of what is in this document — calls for justice of this kind are by now many — but, straight to my point, for whose names are on it.

You may know of this letter and you may not, I ought to add: The Guardian reported it in its Oct. 22 editions. Anadolu Ajansi, the Turkish wire service, also had the story right away. Arab News had it, too. So did Middle East Monitor, The New Indian Express, and, stateside, Common Dreams. In Britain, Jewish Voice for Liberation, J.V.L., picked it up.

But the British daily is at writing alone among major Western media to report on this momentous call for worldwide action against the Zionist state. We read nothing of it in major Western media and hear nothing from the mainstream broadcasters. I will return to this important point shortly.  (more...)

How Dictators Evade Justice — and Why It Still Works: Philippe Sands’ 38 Londres Street

Chile 30 Londres Street Santiago Augusto Pinochet Walther Rauff Nazi dictator authoritarianism crimes against humanity international law impunity

Philippe Sands, renowned international lawyer and notable author of East West Street and The Ratline has built a distinguished literary and legal career by blending rigorous international law with deep personal and historical narratives.

In his new book, Sands returns with a chilling and meticulously researched exposé that links two notorious figures: Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet and Nazi SS officer Walther Rauff.

His major works now form a thematic trilogy on justice, memory, and impunity, each exploring different dimensions of state violence and accountability.

In 38 Londres Street, Sands writes not merely as a chronicler of legal history, but as a moral cartographer, tracing the fault lines where law, memory, war and power collide.

The book’s title refers to a nondescript building in Santiago, Chile—once a torture site under Pinochet’s regime—that becomes a symbolic and literal locus for Sands’s inquiry into the machinery of state violence and the ghosts it leaves behind.  (more...)

Trump’s latest Time Magazine cover is a chilling homage to a portrait of a war criminal, report says

Time Magazine cover Donald Trump Krupp portrait war crimes history

The image shows the president with hands clasped leaning over the Resolute Desk in a pose some have suggested is reminiscent of a famous portrait of a notorious war criminal – something Time has denied

The latest picture of Donald Trump for the front cover of Time Magazine appears to reference a famous portrait of a convicted Nazi war criminal, according to a new report.

The image, released ahead of the print issue’s publication next week, shows the president with hands clasped leaning over the Resolute Desk, and he is framed between two flags behind him. “TRUMP’S WORLD,” the caption reads.

Social media users were quick to point out that the image and its composition is reminiscent of a famous 1963 portrait of German Industrialist Alfried Krupp, which was taken by Arnold Newman for Newsweek.

During World War II, Krupp ran a major arms manufacturer for the Nazis and was later convicted as a war criminal for his company's use of Jews, prisoners of war and others as slave labor. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison, but served only three and was later pardoned.

In the psychologically charged image, which Newman, who was Jewish, initially refused to take, Krupp is also seen leaning forwards towards the camera, fingers interlocked, framed by two pillars of his factory. The lighting is eerily similar to that of a horror movie.  (more...)

Hind Rajab’s killers named in ICC filing

Israel Netanyahu ceasefire violations Hind Rajab ICC ICJ justice accountability war crimes genocide oppression starvation

Since the ceasefire came into effect on 10 October, Israel has continued to violate the basic terms of the agreement, including killing and injuring Palestinians while maintaining restrictions on food and humanitarian aid entering Gaza.

On Friday, 17 October, at least 11 people from the same family were killed in an Israeli attack on a car in al-Zaytoun, a neighborhood of Gaza City.

Journalist Saed Hasballah filmed relatives mourning over the bodies of their loved ones at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City. Of the 11 people killed, seven were children between 5 and 13 years old.

Hasballah said that Israel bombed the vehicle as the family were checking on their destroyed home. “They had hoped the war was over – that they could return to live upon the rubble of their house – but the occupation’s artillery ended their lives the moment they arrived,” he stated on social media.

Gaza’s civil defense stated that rescue workers recovered the bodies of nine of the victims, but the bodies of two children weren’t recoverable as they were torn apart due to the intensity of the bombardment and the difficult field and environmental conditions in the area.

On Sunday, 19 October, Israel attacked areas across the Gaza Strip with more than 20 airstrikes, after the Israeli army claimed that Palestinian resistance forces had fired on an Israeli tank in the southern city of Rafah.

But the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Hamas political party, said it was unaware of any events or clashes taking place in the Rafah area and noted that Israel had already been violating the terms of the ceasefire.

According to Ryan Grim of Drop Site, the explosion was caused by an Israeli vehicle running over ordnance as the army was demolishing what was left of houses in Rafah.  (more...)
